Large Vintage Antique French Filigree Wire and Wooden Bird Cage

This is a gorgeous antique bird cage circa mid 1800s. It is constructed out of a dark stained wood and a beautifully intricate wire pattern with a filigree design.

Antiques where beautifully crafted by the way you can tell from this gorgeous bird cage.

The opening to this cage is one of the pieces that stands out from the side at the base. The hinge to this door is only functioning on the bottom section of the door as it has come off on the top section. But it holds in nicely once latched closed.

The base on this item has suffered some damage as the previous owner to me kept plants inside which over time have compromised the integrity of the base plate. ( this could either be repaired, replaced or kept as it is )

47cm wide at the widest point.

Due to the age of this item there is various wear throughout, I have taken as many photographs as possible so that you are able to fully see the item from every possible angle.

Even with this it is still an incredibly beautiful antique.
