The square Jasper jar, I was told, was a temple jar of Blanc De Chine porcelain.That has been modernized by a crisp chinoiserie fretwork pattern in bolder colors.Details include a matching covered lid and dauntless graphic decoration in an all over pattern.Hand painted.I believe it is made of porcelain.From its shape to its design, the Jasper feels like a timeless heirloom, though its crisp presentation and high gloss finish speaks to its fresh modernity.Complete with a removable lid, the gorgeous ornament can be spotlighted on a sideboard or etagere, or used as a functional jar atop a kitchen counter.Why not have a fancy place to store your cookies.The jar measures 8 ½” tall x 6 ½” wide x 6 ½” deep.This was a family piece and is in excellent condition.There are no chips, cracks or crazing.There are no tags or packaging.
