Yes I have lived in Florida my entire life, but I do not know anything about coral. This is one of two pieces that I got from an estate sale. There were other pieces as well, but I just decided to go for the two largest. It appears to be very fragile and bits and pieces of shell, coral and sand fall out when shaken. Really really needs a bath. Very dusty and dirty. I was too chicken to try and wash it, figured I would leave that to you experts. Going to have chips and breaks...it is fragile coral after all. Weighs 2 pounds 6 ounces. Measures about 9 by 7 inches...kinda hard to measure accurately. Will be shipped double boxed.
