Available here is a beautiful large wooden shield featuring an original \"RisingPhoenix\" design! The phoenix and the elaborate wave border pattern has been meticulously hand-painted using only the finest long-lasting artist\'s-grade paints available. Dual leather straps are used to secure the arm along the back (one going over the forearm and one intended to be gripped or held). The shield is made out of a 1/2\" thick smooth composite wood which is considerably stronger than plywood. The front of theshield has also been applied with several coats of topcoat/varnish to protect and preserve it through the ages. It measures a very large 30 inches in diameter. So whether for the wall or the battlefield, this shield is well balanced and ready to serve.
