Seller: Alley-Antiques DESCRIPTION: Victorian Period Accessories. Nice Large Antique Victorian Walnut shadowbox frame. Picture Frame. Dates somewhere in the 1860-1880s period at Circa 1870. Solid walnut with an inner gold gilded liner. Selling as pictured with NO glass and NO backboard (frame only). About 150 years old. Nice large size measuring about 23 1/4\" x 19 1/4\" overall at extremes. Original finish. Nice original patina. This is what some call a shadowbox frame. Good condition for age. Finish is original and looks good.. You may notice scuffs, scratches, and dings on frame typical for age. Minor wood loss on back liner where picture nails were removed. What I feel are the very minor condition issues listed only add charm and character to this 130+ year old frame. Look at pics as they are considered part of description. Large size measures about 23 1/4\" by about 19 1/4\" and 1 3/4\" deep overall at extremes. Will hold about a 20\" by 16\" picture ( inner rabbet 20\" x 16\"). Guaranteed 19th Century.
