Introducing my Antique Lace Trims Surprise Bundle, exclusively available at Bobbins&Needles. Vintage lace trims crafted in the early part of the 20th century in the traditional bobbin lace-making region of Le Puy-en-Velay, Haute-Loire, France, ensuring authenticity and superior quality.

Each lace bundle is a carefully curated selection of linen, cotton and hemp trims in a spectrum of natural color variations. This assortment is designed to offer a diverse range of options for creating unique designs and styles, imparting a touch of elegance to your creations. The pictures show a sample of 8 different lace trims with various widths, colors, and fibers. This serves as an illustration of the potential assortment you may receive. The actual selection will vary based on our current availability, including all the lace from our online collection and some stock that you may not see yet.

Specifications:

You will receive a total of 8 lace trim pieces, each with a length of 25 cm ( 10 inches), for a combined total of 2 meters (78.7 inches).

Conditions: the lace is in perfect condition and never been used, some may show light tea/dust storage marks from age and antique.

Care Instructions: before use, delicately hand wash or soak in mild soap, rinse, and towel dry. Allow it to air dry. Iron afterward if needed.

Please note that all our laces and linens are sold as found, unwashed and unused, they have been stored for many years so if any cleaning or ironing is needed, it will be left to the buyer. Before use, gently hand wash or soak in soft soap, rinsed and towel dried (no wringing!!) and let to air dry. The ancient folk wisdom says that it is better to spread the fabrics on a meadow and let the dew and the moon naturally whiten the fabric.

The color shades go from white to ecru and cream, and because the handmade lace was made by different women and threads, on some occasions the color of each roll from the same type differs slightly. They have been stored for many decades (almost a century), so it is possible that some of them may show dust or a light patina; this is precisely what gives them their unique, endearing charm. I try my best to show and describe any exceptional wear or damage.
