These photos were part of a MUCH larger and very eclectic collection of photos and documents that was purchased in Europe several years ago. The red and white acid free sticker on the reverse was part of the previous owners collection and catalog system.

Up for sale is a LOT of 5 extremely rare original photographs Royal Indian Engineering College. The Royal Indian Engineering College (or RIEC) was a British college of Civil Engineering run by the India Office to train civil engineers for service in the Indian Public Works Department. It was located on the Cooper's Hill estate, near Egham, Surrey. It functioned from 1872 until 1906, when its work was transferred to India.

These photos are of students over a few years. 2 of the photos are class photos, 1 is a photo of the Rugby Team 1 is a Picture of the Foresters and 1 is an Invitation to the RIEC Fancy Dress Ball. The 2 class photos have the students names written as does the Rugby Team Photo. The foresters and invitations simply have a title. All 5 original photos are backed on a cream heavier weight paper.

After several years of research (first to determine what school they were from and second, to look for other photos of students from that school and I have not been able to find a single example of students in a class photo from that school. Other than these that I have available for sale

Condition:

Overall, good condition with some fading and yellowing or over exposure some photos have chipped corners or edges. Otherwise they show where consistent with age handling in storage.
