LARGE Vintage Brass Miners Lamp E. THOMAS & WILLIAMS ABERDARE TYPE No. 4:

This is a large vintage brass miners lamp by E. THOMAS & WILLIAMSABERDARE TYPE No. 4. The wine bottle has been used to show the large proportionsof the lamp but is not part of the sale.
It has a brass plaque to the front signed \'E. THOMAS & WILLIAMS MAKER ABERDARE TYPE No. 4\' when unscrewed it is also stamped with the initials\'E.T. & W A\' and the number \'26\'.
The approximate MAXIMUM dimension are : 12 inches / 30.5 cm high (EXCLUDTING THE HOOK) x 7.5 inches / 9 cmdiameter
CONDITION: As would be expected there are knocks and marks commensurate with age and use. Also there is a crack and a small piece of the name plate missing, please see close up photograph. The lamp unscrewseasily but the thread could probably do with cleaning as it doesn\'t line up quite right at the moment as can be seen in the photographs.
