This listing is for a lovely antique die cut made in the US, dating to around 1910. It is attributed to Raphael Tuck. The piece is heavy cardstock in excellent condition with no creases or damage. It stands really well - nice and sturdy, guaranteed antique and authentic. The back has darkened with age.
One way to tell an antique piece is by looking at the back. If it is bright white, it is probably brand new. The paper, regardless of the rag content, will darken with age.
This type of piece was made by adding the lithograph paper to the heavy cardstock, embossing it, then die cutting it. It is then often lacquered to give it shine.
It is large, 9\" tall and 5\" wide. It doesn\'t say Valentine, but it is a really \"valentine\" expression of love!
