VINTAGE, 1960\'s French L\'Esprit & Le\'Vin mid century Pewter & Glass Duck Shaped Decanter/Carafe, excellent used condition! This beauty measures 7\" in height, 11\" in length, 5\" in width, and has a 4\" oval base. It weighs almost 3 pounds. It has the vine leaf imprint on the base with \"L\'Esprit & Le\'Vin,\" the French manufacturer. I could not find the history of this company, but it no longer exists. It is also imprinted with \"ETAIN\' - which translates from French into \"pewter.\" It has a polished pewter top, curved handle, tail and base. The glass has curved, ridged sides to simulate a duck\'s body. The flip top lid has a thumb handle, and the pour spout resembles a duck beak! This is quite a whimsical and unusual way to serve wine or claret to your guests! Own this gorgeous, antique piece of French history today - it is over 60 years old!
