This is a vintage mola blouse from the mid 1960s. It is a child\'s mola blouse. It is very well made by a skilled artist and in excellent condition. Although the molas on the front and back appear identical, there are lots of subtle differences and it is a lot of fun fin to find these differences. The molas are approximately 14 inches across and 11 inches tall. The entire blouse weighs about 5.7 ounces.

I keep the 12 inch Snoopy ruler in the graphic. It is there only to reference the size of the mola blouse.

The mola is a rectangular piece of cloth that was made by Kuna [ Cuna ] Indians located in the San Blas Islands on the Atlantic coast of Panama between the Panama Canal and the country of Colombia.

The molas that I sell are from two sources: my family collection (purchased between 1953 and 1974) and from Dean Flora, a Baptist Missionary who spent much time in the San Blas Islands in the 1960s and early 1970s. item = mblouse02
