Knights of Pythias Ceremonial Sword. Made by M.C. Lilly, Ohio
Engraved with the name Edward Glick Been in my collection of over 20 years.
Knights head on top of handle, with FCB at hilt. FCB stands for Friendship, Charity, and Benevolence, the 3 tenants of Pythian Brotherhood.
Marked UR on the hilt Frontside is for the Uniformed Ranks, a division started after the Civil War.
That denotes this sword being from the late 1800s more than likely.
Measures about 38 inches total, with a blade to hilt measurement of about 30. See Photo's for actual condition. This will be packed well and shipped quickly. Thanks for checking it out.
