Ketcham & McDougall 3/4\" high thimble with repeated design and size “8” shown on shield. Hallmark and “STERLING” are under the tip. There are several holes around the thimble just below the tip, which may indicate it was used by a tailor or seamstress in their craft. Not in round and will need cleaning on inside, but still a beautiful item by one of the fine makers. I do not clean my thimbles and leave it to the discretion of the buyer.Thanksto all who purchased thimbles from my late mother’s collection over the past two years. A limited number of items are left, and I no longer will sell thimbles once they’re gone.
