Shalako is a series of dances and ceremonies conducted by the Native American Zuni people for the Zuni people at the winter solstice, typically following the harvest. They bring good fortune, abundant crops, and many children. They serve the purpose of invoking the divine blessing upon certain newly built houses, and of rendering thanks to the gods for the harvests of the year.
It is in fantastic condition. I am unsure if one of his hands is suppose to be holding something in it. Paint, feathers, fur, leather and wood to make this piece are all in great condition. It is signed on the bottom by the artist.Measures 10\" tall
