Still in its original cardboard box, this is a nifty Jones City New York anchor. by G.N. Co. , The anchor is shiny gold molded plastic. Undated.
There is a thermometer in the center, and tiny calendar cards and a compass design on the top. Small hole in the top for hanging.
Box is done in pink and blue and has fabulous graphics. Anchor measures approximately 9-1/4" x 5", and box is 11-1/4" x 8-3/4". Anchor is in overall good vintage condition, appearing to have been kept stored in the box all these years. Not sure if the thermometer has some leakage and the compass doesn’t actually work. If I understand correctly there is a missing tassle - it would normally be in the sailor’s hands. Box shows wear but is clean and the cellophane in the front is intact. Still a really cool vintage item.
