John Quincy Adams [1767 1848] was an American statesman, lawyer, and diplomat who was the son of the 2nd President of the United States, John Adams and served as the 6th president of the United States from 1825 to 1829. Listed for sale is a beautiful display which contains a [DS] document signed by John Quincy Adams. The document is a partly printed vellum signed as president. The document is a land grant to a William Lilkey of Montgomery County Indiana for a tract of land containing eighty acres. The document is dated March 10, 1827, and is boldly signed ''J. Q. Adams'' in black ink. The document has been authenticated by JSA Authentication Services and will be accompanied with the above Letter of Authenticity. The document is also signed by the commissioner of the general land office at the bottom. The document measures approximately 15.50 x 9.75 inches, it has light toning, expected fold marks, original paper seal affixed to the lower left corner. Overall, in very good condition and displays very nicely. The display is centered around a color portrait of President John Quincy Adams which measures 6.00 x 5.00 inches. Mounted next to the photograph is the document as described above and mounted below is a professionally engraved metal plaque which reads as follows, ''6th President of the United States of America. John Quincy Adams July 11, 1767 - February 23, 1848. The display has been professionally assembled with all acid free materials with great attention to details as follows. The photograph, document and plaque have been matted in a black suede and accented with a gold wood trim. The display has been completed in a quality ornate gold wood frame to the dimensions of 28.00 x 16.00 inches. The document is authentic, a desirable example of our 5th President and the display is stunning. Absolutely no disappointments with this collectable or simply return.
