The document is 16 1/2“ x 13 1/4“ one fully opened. The document is an excellent condition no tears and almost no repairs of any kind. When you hold the document up to the light, you can see some very small pin sized holes. The writing is very clear and the signature is absolutely perfect. The document is from The Commonweath of the state of Massachusetts and was executed on May 13, 1793. The document is calling for the attendance for the due convention of Senators on the said day. This was to be John Hancock’s last position, and he passed away the same year that this document was executed in 1793. No need to go into the importance. The John Hancock played in the founding of the United States of America. This is a rare opportunity to only document with maybe the most famous signature in American history, and to own it in a very large size. The signature itself is over 2 inches long and slightly over 1 inch high. The document also contains a seal on the top left-hand corner, which I believe to be from The Commonwealth, of the state of Massachusetts. I will supply the purchaser with the original documentation and bill from Christie’s sale house in New York City, from which I purchased the document when the transaction is completed.
