This is an amazing piece of original art by Joe Madureira, featuring Spider-Man and Red Hulk from Avenging Spider-Man #3 page 18. Joe does something I’ve never seen other artist do. Instead of drawing on the entire 11x17 page he crops the pages down to 8.25x11 and then marks off the area to draw in as 7x10.25 approx. The detail he puts into this are is uncanny! I’m an artist and I don’t think I could sharpen my pencil that fine to draw as intricate as he does. This page can be cropped to frame smaller but I let it as is when I purchased it so it’s still on 11x17.

I own several of Joe originals. He was my favorite artist when I was younger and to this day. I fell in love with his style. I have purchased each page I own for a reason. This page I purchased because I wanted a page where the hulk looked pissed off and I also wanted a page that had Spider-Man’s mask pulled up halfway. I just thought it looked cool. The other this that drew me to this page is the iconic silhouette at the end. Joe added in a silhouette to many of his pages and it was usually at the last panel. I always thought it looked so cool to do and it adds a depth to the emotion of the picture. The fluctuations in line width Joe uses in his art is really something to see on these originals as always.

The page is an original piece. Drawn by Joe Madureira himself, something that sets this page aside is that it’s seriously Joe’s raw pencils! No inks! His pencils were so hot on this series they took them right to colors with no inks! I’ve never seen another artist accomplish this. It’s on 11x17 comic book art paper and will ship flat. Image is approximately 7x10.25 inches. This will deliver USPS and will be insured for the amount purchased.
