Gift or Dry Fruit Meenakari Box India Silver Glass Lid 8.5\" Trinket Storage
this is a gorgeous box, most likely made in India ~ commonly referred to as a dry fruit box, nut box or some even say for spices.....any dry ingredient really. Can be used as a jewelry box, trinket, storage box as well. Clean, appears to have never been used.
the body is wood and the overlay is silver foil sheets and what looks like melted glass in the recessed design area where the bright colors are. the center is a glass panel with a foil print underneath. The print looks like a bazaar setting with people and elephants. the bottom is finished as well and the box sits on 4 feet.
Inside are 4 compartments.
the box measures 8-1/2\" x 6-3/4\" x 3\" tall ~ weighs 1 pound 9 ounces
