This museum-grade ancient Meso-American, (Mayan-Olmec-Aztec) Jade Axe is Full Groove & in pristine condition. 6&3/4- inchs long X 3"wide X 1&1/4" thick. It has a couple rough areas but that's how it was made. This high quality dark green jade this relic is made of, is rare in pieces large enough to make an axe this large. The time it took make it by 1st chipping out the rough shape from the original jade boulder then grind and shape the axe by hand until smooth and sharp like this one is estimated at between 150 to 200 hoursof labor.
