These beautifully crafted Isabel Bloom sculptures feature an adorable Blue Jay and Dove in a blue and gray finish. The sculptures are made of concrete and signed by the artist. Perfect for any room and all occasions, this folk art style sculpture is part of her animals collection.
The Blue Jay is about 5 inches long and 4 inches from base to top of head. He is painted sky blue with a touch of gray here and there and a black beak. He has black stone eyes and weighs about 1 pound 1 ounce. Signed and dated by the artist 2015.
The Dove with a sprig in his beak is about 3.5 inches long and 2.5 inches from base to top of head. He is painted all over with a soft gray and black stone eyes and weighs about 8 ounces. Signed and dated by the artist 2008.
Crafted of concrete and coated with a high-quality moisture-resistant sealant, Isabel Bloom sculptures require very little maintenance when kept in sheltered areas or indoors. All sculptures will show subtle signs of aging consistent with most fine art including slight pigment shifts and superficial lines. These only enhance the character of your particular pieces!
To care for your indoor sculptures, use a soft nylon brush like a soft paintbrush for the occasional dusting. If you display statues in the bathroom, they may get a little sticky with hairspray, cologne and even soap residue. To clean these sculptures, water alone usually does the trick. Again, use only a soft brush to gently remove whatever just water and your hand will not.
You may display these concrete sculptures outside, however, the rain and the sun tend to weaken the sealant over time. Subjecting your sculptures to the elements will eventually also weaken the concrete and cause cracks and breaks. PLEASE review each picture as they are a part of the description.
