Indian Wars Period Model 1874 Fatigue Blouse w/ Cavalry Piping - Size 52/54 Actual.

This campaigner quality blouse is based directly off a sample from the National Museum of American History and is hand made. It features:

1. All B. Tart materials: fatigue blouse wool body, gray wool liner, and muslin lined sleeves.

2. Five Waterbury buttons (these are the older general service style which show up in photos for many pre-1878 garments—probably cost cutting by using surplus older buttons) and two cuff buttons.

3. Hand-waxed lemon yellow worsted cord that is hand sewn on.

4. Two welted interior breast pockets (original specs called for slash pockets but this sample had welted pockets—another example of contracts not following QM Specs).

5. Machine sewn per the original with hand sewn details and button holes using log dyed thread.

6. Contract ink stamping.

This blouse is as close to an original in terms of design and construction as you can get from a reproduction and is close to museum level quality.
