This is an incredibly rare find. This helmet’s history is KNOWN!!! Based on the writings of “Sgt. Dietrich” in the helmet, I was able to locate the subject’s full name of Sgt George L. Dietrich who came into France with the 29th and ended up at the Rhine with the 2nd and served along side the Marines. He was from West Virginia and a picture of his grave stone is pictured with his specific dates of service. This is a once in a lifetime type find. Don’t miss this chance!
