Made to the exact 1926 federal standard, as used between then and 1948 along this famous highway. US 51 runs straight up through the center of Illinois, from Cairo in the south to Rockford in the north. An original of these is very hard to come by. They were retired from the roads of Illinois long ago, with most of them being destroyed and only a few examples circulating on the collector\'s market. An original would easily run many hundreds or even thousands of dollars on the collector\'s market. So here\'s your chance to get your hands on a fantastic display piece...without breaking the bank.
