! This beautifully crafted LIDDED BOX features a stunning stylized floral design on an octagonal (8-sided) shape. It is made of polished stone with intricate inlay art work. Reticulated pierced open work side panels (photo). The box is medium-sized with a 4" diameter and 1 3/4" height, perfect for storing small items or serving as a decorative piece. Unbranded, but believed to be made in INDIA and the stone to be white marble. Fitted lid. Sparkling, iridescent MOP inlay! Pietra Dura style is a traditional form of inlay work that has been used in India for centuries. Same work that adorns the Taj Mahal and other Mughal monuments. Clean.
