MONUMENTAL ANTIQUE CHINESE JINGDEZHEN MADE OXBLOOD PEACHBLOOM VASE with redwood stand and memorabillia original picture.The piece stands 18 inch tall (46 cm) without stand and 25 (64 cm) inch on stand. Max Diam. 9.5 inch (24 cm) Very heavy.
The vase is attributed to american baseball Star JOE DIMAGGIO's personal collection and was allegedly bought or gifted to him and his wife actress MARILYN MONROE during their Honeymoon visit in Japan in February1954.
This stunning artifact which is in perfect condition was likely made during Republic Period or earlier in JINGDEZHENG, China.
Aquired by my late parents in 1990s to early 2000s.
The vase comes with redwood stand and memorabilia 8x10 original framed photo of DiMaggio and Marilyn Monroe on AGFA paper.
