ThisHarmony Kingdom box figurinenamed "Sin City" was carved by Peter Calvesbert in 1998. It was hand painted/finished bylocal craftsmen in the Cotswold area of England.

It took Peter six months to carve this piece containing 142 animals. It's a beautiful, highly detailed piece that retailed for $600

Harmony Kingdom description:

"Sin City is fourth in the series of signed and numbered multi-compartment limited edition box figurines, featuring the seven deadly sins housed within an overcrowded zoo. Peter says that this piece was an excuse for him to include as many animals in a box as he could (143, not including the seven interior compartments or the humans). Inside each of the compartments is a sin being committed by the zookeeper, who bears strong resemblance to Peter. The loose feathers are a reminder of a collard dove that had a fight with Peter’s cat, Algy. The “Algy EGL” poster refers to Algy breaking his leg two weeks later. A dog falls through the roof, a reference to Murphy who fell through the false ceiling at Martin’s factory. An elephant has three earrings, although with the size of his ears, he has room for many more. A duck billed platypus tries to absorb the aphrodisiac properties of the rhino horn. Peter’s new Ford Ka is mentioned twice. Martin’s dog, Alf, has his name hidden on a tortoise’s back. One of the bears is sick after eating chips, while another has kicked the beak off a flamingo. A meerkat suffers from food poisoning. Noel Wiggins looks out of a gate with one of his Harmony Ball ties. The cancelled Edison poster is a reference that Sin City was not ready in time for this exposition. Each piece is hand-numbered, signed by the artist and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. Hallmarks include ©, star, HBC logo, ed.#, and Pc."
