For sale is just the right amount of braided phosphor bronze dial cord that you need for your restoration project! This cable wasleft behind in the radio electronicsinventory of my late father. He was an active HAM radiooperator for over 70 years, and was a radio and other electronicsserviceman for much of his life. He always kept a generousinventory of spare and replacement parts on hand, for speedy servicecalls for his customers, available for walk-in customers to hisservice shop, and handy for his own electronics projects.All his components were stored in a dry, smoke-free environment.

We found this end of the spool dial cord wrapped on a larger vintage spool, but recognized it immediately, as we had sold other spools of this exact same cable. This is General Cement braided phosphor bronze over fiberglass core cable, 0.035" in diameter. My husband double-checked to verify the weave pattern, and it is General Cement's. I have photographed the 1965 catalog advertising the cable. We unwound the cable to measure it, and re-wrapped it on a smaller spool. What we will do is clip off just the amount that you need, sold by the foot, so there is no waste for you. We will be super careful to coil it to avoid any bends or kinks. (And the shipping cost is only for the first foot. Everything beyond ships free.)
