Hand Made Italy Fiorentine Compote With Lid Red Black Providentiae Memor AS IS. This is a vintage ceramic compote with lid that is red and black colors with gold trim and gold crest on the front. It is part of a whole set of coffee table accessories. The crest reads, " Providentiae Memor" and features a pair of rampant lions, crown and cross motif. The translation means providence in mind and was the national slogan of old German Saxony and part of the coat of arms. This item measures 10” tall with the lid. The bottom is marked by maker, " Hand Made in Italy Fiorentine G 306". This piece is repaired and I have included detailed photos. The price reflects the damage. The base of the piece has the damage but the repair is good and the lid has no damage if you need as a replacement piece.
