Vintage Hand Embroidery Suzani Wall Hanging Tapestry Throw from Nurata in Uzbekistan, Central Asia. This hand embroidered silk on linen wall hanging still has the original tag from the importer. Beautiful colors of aqua blues, coral and rose pink in a double floral design border surrounding a center medallion. The wall hanging measures 54” x 60”.
Purchased in 2005 at the Los Angeles Gifts and Home Accessories Mart, this embroidered tapestry is dated as received on 5/11/05, has never been used, and is in like new, excellent condition. There are hanging loops on the cotton backing of the tapestry. Please see photos.
Photo note: in the photo of the whole tapestry, the right side is a little lighter because of light coming in from a window. The color is uniform, as shown on the photos of smaller parts of the piece.
