$98.00

SCARCE - Unlisted \"With Best Wishes for Halloween.\" Pumpkin-Head Antique PostCard
1909 Cancel: Sacramento, California to Miss Mary Hart, San Francisco. - Romance, Love, Courtship theme
Grandfather Clock, Midnight Haunted Hour... Animated JOL Goblin Farmer w/ Carrot Lettuce \"flowers\"No Reproductions ! / 100+ years old - Authentic Original Cards Only in My Store ! / Anthropomorphic\"Printed in Saxony. / No. 914.\" = unlisted in Millen\'s comprehensive Halloween Postcard Guide !
Hard to find this card in ANY condition, let alone such a great example. For once, the JOL / Pumpkin-Head People are depicted as charmingly \"down on the farm\" happy... and NOT creepy! - This SCARCE Card is belongs among the very confusing sets of Gottschalk Pumpkin-Head Goblin cards.- Confirmed Gottschalk Series 2040 & 2097 ... seem to be related to unconfirmed publisher series 1028 & 914. The REVERSE sides of 2040 & 2097 cards share a same basic printing; but
the REVERSE of 1028 & 914 cards share a unique and DIFFERENT \"Post Card\" and \"Printed in Saxony\" imprint.- The SCARCE \"914\" Pumpkin-Head People / Goblin cards have sometimes been attributed to Landsdorf... ?
NOTE: Many Goblin/ Pumpkin-Head cards like this one are known to be printed by Gottschalk, and some
say \"Drawing Copyright 1909 B. Hofmann.\" / or \"Printed in Germany.\" - This example does NOT say either.Embossed Pumpkin Man, JOL - Anthropomorphic \"Veggie\" People Vegetable Fantasy (see more in my store) Some collectors call these Humanized or Animated Jack-o\'-lanterns, Veggie Pumpkin People, or even \"Goblins.\"NOTE: I have MORE Gottschalk and other Halloween cards, including some RARE ones!Postal Condition: 1901 Cancel...
