Hallmark Artists handcrafted this ornament, Magic 8 Ball for the Mattel Company in 2008,and as a new issue for the 2008 Keepsake Ornaments.It features a miniature version in ornament form of these 2 components of the Magic 8 Ball.The Magic 8 ball itself, and the Magic 8 Ball Box, that has directions on it to \"work the magic\".The fascination for this toy ( for kids and adults) was to ask it a \"yes\" or \"no\" question.Then turn the 8 ball over, and in the window at the bottom, 1 of 20 answers would \"magically\" appear.The Hallmark Ornament box says this miniaturized version of the Magic 8 Ball actually works...It is from 2008 and we did a trial. It does have something appear in the bottom of the 8 Ballonce turning it upright and after a few seconds...The answers are very tiny, but the concept is so nostalgic...It is not battery operated, so no batteries to replace.Condition of Ornament is Brand New, Mint in Box.
