Hallmark Betsey Clark Joy Will Dance Plaque Vintage 1970s Retro Cottage Decor:

Betsey Clark was was an artist for Hallmark Greeting Cards of Kansas City for 25 years. Her art, which featured sweet ragamuffin characters and uplifting quotes, was turned into greeting cards, ornaments, pewter figures, and wall art. The wall plaque listed here depicts two waifish children dancing around a May pole, the top reads \"Joy will dance the whole world through, but it must begin with you.\" The image is mounted on a sturdy board, the whole piece measures approximately 6 inches wide by 8 1/4 inches tall. There is a hole for mounting on the back. Some of these plaques also had metal hardware screwed into the top, this one does not although there is a hole where such a piece might have been. The image is slightly faded and there are some indentations and scratching -- but it\'s overall in good vintage condition.
