Up for sale is anUPPER MID to HIGH GRADE (Spine tics, creases, edge wear, pieces missing to 2 interior pages at bottom seems printing related does not affect story panels.) completecopy of HULK #182 (L'INCROYABLE HULK #41) KEY 2nd APPEARANCE of WOLVERINE,FOREIGN FRENCH CANADIAN VARIANT from LES ÉDITIONS HÉRITAGES PUBLISHED in 1974 in BLACK and WHITE. 2nd appearance of WolverineMany sources cite this as a cameo appearance of Wolverine and Giant-Size X-Men #1 as a 2nd full appearance1st appearance of Hammer and AnvilComic books from LESÉDITIONS HÉRITAGE were distributed only in Quebec, Canada, startingin 1968 and ending in 1987 for the Marvel titles. They were publishedin French with black/white interiors and color covers (although someof the earliest and rarest issues were in full color as were some of the last issues) and sometimesthey had their very own original variant covers, different from theoriginal Marvel covers. At first they were double sized issues at0.25cent (FORMAT DOUBLE) and comprised 2 full issues of a title +filler stories, but in 1977, they continued doing double sized issuesbut now with 2 numbers on the cover like L'ÉTONNANT SPIDER-MAN#69/70, all these double format issues and double issues causedcertain issues to not have their covers printed, as only one coverwould be used for 2 issues.
They published mainlyMarvel titles, some Archie and a few others from Gold Key, Dell andCharlton. The Marvel titles were published just a few months aftertheir original English counterparts, making them the earliest foreignvariant editions published.
The print runs wereextremely small, at just 7000 copies, and are among the rarestforeign variants, and all unsold copies, were bound, trimmed andglued into big 4 issue square-bound books called COMICORAMA, makingoriginal, untrimmed copies in high grade even more uncommonly rare.Also as there were no comic book bags and boards, in the late sixtiesand early 70ies and these comics were bought by kids and read, sovery few survived in high grade.
In late March 2024, I anda partner purchased a large, pedigree worthy collection of over 1000ÉDITIONS HÉRITAGE comics in ultra high grade. These are probablythe best looking, newsstand fresh time capsule survivors, anyone willever find.

HIGH GRADE: 8.0 and up MID GRADE: 5.0 to 7.5 LOW GRADE: 4.5 and below. Anything lower than a 2.0 will be specified. Books come with bags and boards and are complete unless specified.
