This is an original WW1 German M16 helmet shell. It is maker / size marked TJ68. The maker mark TJ indicates it was made by Theil & sohne of Lubeck. Helmets produced by Theil & sohne often have faint maker markings. The markings on this one are quite faint but they are shown within the red circle in the pics below. I have also measured the circumference of the helmet shll at the base of the dome beneath the split-pin holes. The shell exterior measures correctly between 69 and 70 CMs. The shell is 100% original with no cracks, dents or damage. The paint remains about 90% intact and is 100% original with no touched-up spots. I will be listing several items this week.
