I am pretty certain that this is a French ex military mess bag. It appears unused as it is still stiff with "size" and retains only one storage mark as photographed which should shift in its first wash, no other marks or holes. Open to one end with metal rivet and string, sewn down the sides and bottom. Mid oatmeal in color.
Perfect for projects - unpick and re-use the linen, stuff and make a huge dog bed or floor cushion, a pair of linen blinds, stamp with your own wording/pattern etc
