A Large, 22-inch Tessellated Bone Statue of Shou Lao
With intricate polychrome sgraffito designs!

Bedecked in hand-carved polychrome bone tile, this 22-inch,likely semi-antique sculpture of Shoulao (Shouxing) is a welcome addition toany home. Shoulao, the god of longevity, holds a long dragon staff in his righthand and and the peach of immortality in his left. His robes feature finedesigns in sgraffito black, red, and green ink.

This piece is unsigned but likely originated fromearly 20th Century China. The piece is made entirely from tessellatedand carved oxbone.

Condition:

The statue is in NEAR MINT condition! There are very few, if any, signs of use or wear. The piece is free from major flaws, damage, and repair. This amazing statue is perfect to display or gift!
