A hard-to-find matching pair of large hand-assembled antique Normandy lace boudoir pillow covers in a lovely cream color...
Features an elegant floral motif showcasing a melange of Valenciennes laces & hand embroidered inserts meticulously stitched together. Finished off with a large hand embroidered plate centrally and wide, scalloped, ruffled Valenciennes lace all around. Pillow insertion along the backside with closure via mother of pearl buttons.
Oval-shaped, each pillow measures overall ~19&1/2\" long, ~16\" wide, and finished all around.
In overall good condition considering age with yellowing, occasional scraggly threads, a few tiny breaks in the net, and some scattered breaks/moth bites which can be mended & are not readily apparent since the lace is in ruffled form.
