2 Large Genuine Hawaiian Sunrise Shells of matching Size and Shape!These are 2 separate sunnies that nearly match perfectly (as a natural pair would)Each Shell is slightly larger than Quarter sized, and condition is Very Good!The Red shell shows Some faint signs of calcification and erosion, especially on the wings which are worn and a pinhole on shell surface lower right.The Yellow shell has a pit near the center, but Otherwise, these shells are in Great Shape with wings intact, vibrant unique colors, thick and robust edges!
Coloration is Vibrant Oahu sunrise: The Yellow half has a stunning , bold Sunrise pattern of a White/Magenta/ Yellow/ and Dark Red along the sides.
The Red shell is a beautiful shell with White and Lavender around the base Becoming Orange-Red throughout with White spotting.Both shells have Bold Red Tiger stripes on the sides. Shell shape is nice with Pronounced knuckles and ridges on the Red shell.Please look closely to all the photos!
All photos were taken outdoors in natural lighting. Actual color of shell may appear different . All shells are Clean , Dry and Oil Free. Perfect for jewelers. Adding Coconut oil or Kukui oil to the shell after purchase will greatly enhance the colors and really make them pop!
This shell pair was found on the South Shore of Oahu. At a depth between 60-100 feet. No live shells are taken, and each shell is found empty on the seafloor. Shells are cleaned only with water and wire brushing- No chemicals.
