Group of Two Antique German Glass Condiment Bottles Hand Blown Stone Cut c.1880s

Description: This beautiful pair of antique condiment bottles was mouth-blown of crystal glass in Germany around 1880s. They were stone cut and faceted to create fantastic optical effect.

The technique of stone-cutting free blown glass was very labor-intensive and also quite dangerous for the cutters due to the large amount of glass dust.

The bottle on the right was most likely used for oil, the one on the left - for vinegar or possible for pepper. The oil bottle is gilted, some of the gold is worn out. The cap on the vinegar/pepper bottle seems to be silver but there is no marks on it.

The bottles are in excellent condition with only age-related gold wear. the tallest one is 6\" tall to the top of the stopers.
