Vintage Hubley Cast Iron Paperweight
Painted Miniature Cocker Spaniel Dog

For Your Vintage Cast Iron Paperweight An old Hubley cast iron small paperweight cast in the shape of a cocker spaniel dog standing on all four. The dog has both ears down along his head and his tail standing up. It is painted in light brown coloring with a painted red collar around its neck. The dog's eyes are black in color as are its mouth and nose, which have lost quite a bit of their coloring and show areas of the bare iron. The paperweight is very well cast and shows details of the dog's body, face, and ears. The paperweight has considerable losses to the paint which can be seen in the photos. A very nice paperweight to add to your collection. Please carefully review the photos presented as they are part and parcel of the description.

  • Origin: Purchased in an estate sale in Lancaster County Pennsylvania.
  • Size: The piece measures ~2 3/8" at its highest, ~3 1/2" at its longest, and is ~1 3/8" at its widest. The piece weighs about 11.6 ounces.

  • Marks: Unmarked as to the maker.
  • Distinguishing Characteristics - Most Interesting About The Piece: Nice and unusual vintage paperweight. Definitely a quality piece worthy of a prominent spot in your collection.
  • Condition: The paperweight is in very good condition and has no breaks, or repairs. The piece lost some of its original paint in the form of chips to the surface, which can be seen in the photos, but still retains what we estimate to be over 80% of its original paint. Other than that, the piece is nice and would look great in your collection. Please see photos for additional condition information.
