Every year polar bears wait on the shore of Hudson Bay for the ice to freeze so they can go out on the ice to hunt. We were in Churchill, Manitoba in hopes of seeing the polar bears gathered there. These beautiful moccasins were purchased in the tiny town of Churchill at a shop called Northern Images, the name is stamped on the soles of the moccasins. This shop handles locally made crafts and art. The Inuit craftsman of these moccasins is Elise Tsetta (Dettah).
The moccasins are made from smoked caribou hide and wrapped with warm plush fur. The wide white and red double felt collar rests under the fur trim. Each toe box has a brilliant hand beaded pink and green flower decoration. They are women\'s size 8, new and have never been worn. Think ahead to Christmas and what an amazing and unique gift these would make for a special someone. .
