Beautiful JACOBEAN STYLE FLOWERS in a Pot HANDHOOKED BELL PULL WALL HANGING

13\" W x 39\" L

Vibrant colors (blues, pinks, purples and gray) with a gorgeous blue/green background ... flowers in a pot worked on burlap (I am no expert on any of this.) Backing is a satin solid, coordinating color, that has been neatly handstitched to the front. Dark wood dowels at top and bottom.

Please note in the photos any discoloration (faded looking) is only from the outdoor lighting.

There is no fading. No broken stitches, no soiling. No issues.

Impeccably hand crafted by Ann Nevitt (see below) in 1998. She was 66.

It is assumed she used the finest quality fabrics, materials, etc.

We purchased a good many of her art creations at her estate and will be listing them over time, as I am able to let go, as soon as I am done admiring her beautiful artwork. I have kept my favorites for now and will most likely be listing them in the future, as I sadly have no place to really display them as they so deserve. These are works of art and deserve a place of prominence where they are loved and appreciated.

*** A little bit about Ann***

Ann Lucille Nevitt was born in 1922. She was the widow of the late Reverend Canon Benjamin W. Nevitt (Lt Col USAFR).

She graduated from Roosevelt High School in Washington, DC. She was employed at the Department of Commerce and later the Civil Aeronautics Administration. During this time she attendedGeorge Washington University in the evenings to earn her college degree. Following her marriage and moving around the country with her husband, she earned her BA in English from the State University of New York. Ann’s professional career also included positions at the U.S. Department of Justice and Selective Service System.

Ann was active in volunteer work for many years wherever she lived, serving as a Red Cross Gray Lady at Lakeland Air Force Base in Texas, Burderop Park Hospital in England and Walter Reed Hospital in Washington, DC. She was also active in the Officers Wives Club and CPS Association as well as many church organizations.

Ann loved many of the arts and crafts. She was accomplished at sewing, embroidery, needlepoint, painting, quilting and traditional rug hooking, to name a few. She co-founded with Jane Elliot the Blue and Gray Rug Hookers that began to meet in 1989 and is still in existence today.

She was a charter member of the Colonial York Knitters’ Guild, a charter member of the Apple Needle pointers Chapter of the American Needlepointer Guild, and a member of the Mason Dixon Chapter of the Association of Traditional Hooking Artists.
