For sale today is the rare and out-of-print (oop) Kodansha comics/manga trade paperback (tpb)/graphic novel Gon (Volume 4) by Masashi Tanaka, published in 2012.

Gon is a small dinosaur that has managed to survive extinction. He goes on fun adventures in a world of vibrant creatures and fauna.

I am not a comics grader, but I try to be as thorough as possible when assessing books for any flaws. I don't believe in using a number grade system - to me they are mostly utilized as a method to be ambiguous about exact condition and/or individual imperfections - but I do attempt to describe anything other than minor cover shelf-scuffing/scratching in detail. If a certain flaw discussed below does not mention that it affects inside pages, then it does copy is in good overall reading condition, but only decent external condition. It has a solid spine, and very good, easily legible inside pages (photo#15 example). It does have some creases spread around the corners and cover, although most of the flaws affect mainly the book's externals. Its main other flaws consist of/relate to its status as an ex-library book: it has library stickers on its front cover, lower spine corner, inside front cover, and the last cover page.**Photo#4:-Upper spine corner: ~3/4" cover material tear at corner.
**Photo#5:-Lower spine corner: Light scuffing, tiny ding where it meets the back cover.
**Photo#6:-Front cover top edge:Some shelf-scuffing along it.-Outer corner: ~1" crease, shows on ~10 pages as a light indent, and goes thru ~4/5 pages as a light bend. Small crease/scuff/bend/cover peel at extreme corner.
**Photo#7:-Front cover bottom edge:Some shelf-scuffing along it.-Outer corner: ~3.5" and ~2" creases around corner, the ~2" one shows on ~5 pages as an indent, and goes thru ~1/4 as a light bend.~1/2" crease/scuff/bend at extreme corner, goes thru 3 pages as a corner fold, and ~10 as a light indent.
**Photo#8:-Back cover top edge:Light shelf-scuffing/wear along it.-Outer corner: Light ~1" indent around corner. Small crease/scuff/bend at extreme corner, extends thru ~1/5 pages as a light bend.
**Photo#9:-Back cover bottom edge:Some shelf-scuffing along it, with an additional light ~1" cover indent/~1/2" cover crease starting adjacent the edge's middle.-Outer corner: ~2" vertical indent around corner, goes thru ~10 pages as a ~1" indent, and thru ~2/3 pages as a light bend.Small crease/scuff/bend/cover peel at extreme corner.**Additionally: Front cover possesses a light vertical ~4" indent/depression starting adjacent the top edge nearby the spine corner (photo#10 w/illumination). ~6 small-to~1/2" light creases/indents/depressions spread around cover's center(photo#11 w/illumination). Back cover has a light ~3" vertical crease/depression near its center(photo#12 w/illumination). Six ~1/2" creases/indents/depressions near page edge's middle(photo#13 this copy is not for the serious collector searching for a pristine copy, for a more casual reader looking to attain this older /hard-to-find book at a cheap price it would be perfect.I both buy to read as well as sell TPBs on here, so I understand how aggravating it is to receive a comic damaged in transit. I always pack books firmly between pieces of cardboard (among other materials/layers) via Gemini Comic mailers or bubble mailers depending on size; usually utilizing boxes for larger lots.
