Dating to the mid-1930\'s this lamp is an excellent example of period modernist design. While certainly in the style of Gilbert Rohde, there are no makers marks and I am unable to find any documentation as to specific provenance. I have therefore listed it as attributed to that noteworthy industrial designer.
This lamp is in original cosmetic condition.* It is switched with a small rotary bakelite knob on the solid walnut base. The original light bulb socket has been retained and the bulb contacts have been cleaned and polished. Original wiring has been refurbished with new old stock rayon covered power cord and appointed with new vintage style plug. This lamp accepts a standard medium Edison light bulb (not included).

* NOTES ON COSMETIC CONDITION:While the lamp displays nicely overall, upon close inspection one can observe evidence of use and wear over the passage of time. Chrome surfaces show superficial wear and abrasions. The finish of the solid walnut base has not been restored. As found, it shows some wear. Additionally, there is damage to the protruding chrome bar above the base and on the swivel joint collar.Please refer to the final two composite photos provided here for close views of the above
