Sometimes listed as A1 Comics (1944 Life\'s Romances) #27. Part of A1 Comics, an anthology from Magazine Enterprises with content that varied from month to month. The masked gunslinger formerly known as The Calico Kid (actually Marshal Rex Fury) takes on a new identity, using special effects to fool evildoers into thinking he is a vengeful spirit; Outlaws face the various tricks Ghost Rider uses to appear as if he is an actual ghost. This was the first character to use the name and the very cool Western-themed Ghost Rider design, both of which have remained in use to the present day, but for different characters.
