Thisis an early Germany Navy \"KREUZER KONIGSBERG\" Cap Tally(Kriegsmarine Mutzenband \"KREUZER KONIGSBERG\"). This theCruiser Konigsberg tally which is constructed of black rayon, theexterior bearing a machine-embroidered gold bullion wire inscriptionof \"KREUZER KONIGSBERG\" in Fraktur script. The tally isunmarked and measures 35 mm (w) by 1520 mm (l). It is in nearextremely fine conditionNOTE: Whileattacking Bergen, Norway, the ship was badly damaged by Norwegiancoastal artillery, and sunk by Fleet Air Arm Blackburn Skuafighter-bombers the following day in the harbor -- 10 April 1940.
