German ANTIQUE Oblong Serving Tray Airbrush & Transferware Decal Flowers on Blue:

Nowhere can I find another like this relish dish or celery tray - or maybe it\'s a not-so-delicate dresser tray. The shape is an oblong of 12 3/4” long and 5 5/8” wide with squared 1 ½” high ends.On satin-like glazed white ceramic three white flowers with blue leaves are transfer decals. There are also three unusual blue and white decorations of airbrushed flower stencils. The stencil art called “Spritzdekorin”, translated from German as “spray décor”, is known as a German airbrush technique on ceramics from the 1920s/30s (hence, my estimate of when it was made). The edge and rim are airbrushed the same pretty light sky blue. The condition is very good for its age. The only chip is under the bottom foot ring, see last photo. There are no cracks, repairs or crazing. The glaze has a few bumps, a bubble pop, and a few light wear scratches.The Backstamp doesn’t include a pottery company name only “Germany” and an illegible number. Thanks for looking.
