George VI, British Wilkinson / Gieves Royal Navy Midshipman's Dirk with Scabbard. Total Length in Scabbard 24 5/8", Wilkinson had the contract with Gieves, a major naval outfitter / supplier, to make their edged weapons. A Royal Navel Midshipman's Dirk, Marked Gieves (The Supplier / Dealer) 45.5cm blade etched with scrolling foliage, crowned fouled anchor, GVIR cypher and Royal Arms, regulation brass hilt with an embossed fouled anchor on the langet, wire bound fish skin grip, in its brass mounted leather scabbard, the locket engraved M.H.Mc.LK. complete with knot.
