From the August 1941 issue of Fortune Magazine. The Portfolio of Posters was to help stir civilian mobilization. The issue was \"dedicated to the transformation of this country from a nation at peace to a nation totally organized to fight for the preservation of its national existence and its basic liberties\".

This poster by Italian born architect and graphic designer, George Giusti, was made for the United States war effort. The Air Raid Precautions (ARP) personnel were responsible for issuing gas masks and supervising black out drills. The image of the gas mask, the clock running out of time, and the bomb in background stressed the urgency and importance of being prepared for war.

Reverse side has a black & white photograph image.

Measures 14\" x 11 1/8\"

Very Good condition.Light toning. Small chip at lower right side edge. Light mark on left margin. Reverse side has several marks. Clean and Bright!
